**DCI REGISTER #1 SYSTEM WELCOME
Welcome to <BBS NAME>
**DCI REGISTER #2 handle prompt
This system allows you to use either your handle or your real name
on the board. However, the name or handle you enter here will be
your primary title and will be used for logging on. Other personae
may be adopted once you have access.
**DCI REGISTER #3 real name prompt
We require that you enter your real name. It will be kept confidential.
**DCI REGISTER #4 terms -- displays before "Do you agree to these terms?"
**DCI REGISTER #5 callback screen
We are going to disconnect now, you will have 45 seconds to set
your terminal to answer. Expect our call. If we haven't returned
your call in 2 minutes, then there has been an error on this end
and you will need to re-register.
If you find that you cannot complete the connection after several
tries, then please re-register, and DON'T agree to the terms. This
will allow you to enter feedback to the SYSOP. Please leave a voice
validation number, and the sysop will enter you into the system.
Please temporarily disable your host mode!
**DCI REGISTER #6 modem help
We are going to disconnect and you will be back in the terminal mode
of your communications program.
Wait until you see "RING" or "2" on your screen, and then type ATA <return>.
This will tell your terminal to answer.
The modem will take over, and you will be right back in the bbs.
The only setting that you need to worry about is your host mode. If
you have it set on, please turn it off. You can check that now without
disconnecting.
**DCI REGISTER #7 reentry -- actually a "buffer"
Thanks for answering the phone!
**DCI REGISTER #8 final text -- also seen by sysop-added new users
Please read the H)elp file, accessible from the main menu.
The I)nfo section contains help on various features of the
system such as reading messages, and editor commands.
The Base List (B from the Main Menu) lists all the message bases and
gives brief descriptions of each one.
At most prompts, you can enter ? for more information.
Zipping around is probably the easiest way for new users to navigate
the system. Just hit a Z at each base prompt. All other features
are available from each base.
**DCI REGISTER #9 Long Distance Not Allowed Caller Information
This board validates users by callback. Your data line is not within
our local calling area. Please leave feedback to the sysop, including
a voice number, and a good time for the sysop to call you. This will
be a collect call.
**DCI REGISTER #10 Long Distance Allowed Caller Information
Long Distance Callers are allowed restricted access. Please leave
a message to the sysop on your first visit.
**DCI REGISTER #11 Registration Closed Notice
We are currently not accepting new users at this time.
**DCI REGISTER #12 Registration Closed, Pre-Feedback Request
Registration is temporarily closed, however, you may leave a
note to the sysop.
